Beautiful WordPress Ecommerce Themes

Most of the WordPress Ecommerce Themes listed here are available from Theme Forest, please click through here to see full details.

All are Responsive mobile friendly themes unless indicated, most support WooCommerce and WP Commerce plugins. All have a 5 or 4 star rating. All tested in a browser and then on a small screen HTC Wildfire smartphone.

Some things to bear in mind when choosing a new theme,

  • don’t just check the frontpage, delve down and drill through a shopping experience, not everything that glitters is gold!
  • a lot of themes will come with multiple sliders and option to turn off particular page elements, so a few changes in the configuration can make it look quite different from the default look,
  • lot’s of options isn’t necessarily great because it can make setup complicated, better choose a theme which you like the look of as is, rather than choose one which is over flexible and then spend a huge amount of time setting it up,
  • get the feeling that these themes look similar to eachother? Successful designs tend to attract copy cats.

Sorted starting with the ones we like best! This list of 14 is whittled down from an original list of 70 themes.

14 WordPress Ecommerce Themes List

Simplicity, great looking shop on large screen and mobile, lots of customisation (can make it complicated sometimes), translation ready, shortcodes, audio players, pricing plans and style.

WordPress ecommerce Themes Simplicity

Cheope (no longer available), excellent selection of homepage layout options and sliders, Pinterest style portfolio, shop by brand price or category. Huge range of features including wishlist plugin, mouseover zoom effect, mega menus, cart tab, filterable FAQs and popups.

Xmarket, (no longer available) like this one, works really well on mobile with product sliders, animated homepage slider, product tables, price filters and more.

IcaroStore (no longer available), flex and nivo sliders, shortcodes, pricing tables, product sorting, includes localisation.

Camp, looks nice on mobile. Custom eCommerce widgets built in. Translation ready.

Mearishop (no longer available), 7 different sliders, lookbook gallery.

Proffet (no longer available),  liked this one and it’s footer to start with but other themes have more features.

Xing, a bit busy, but has homepage options and great range of style elements.

Sooperstore (no longer available), great deep purple background and good looking navigation, built for WooCommerce.

Blanco (no longer available), not keen on the retro newspaper style that the header gives. Didn’t load on mobile.

Titania, nice, works better for me with different colours to the blue and red they use in the demo.

Musica, a theme for a music or event store. Doesn’t work for me on mobile, text too small.

LookShop, looks really nice on narrow screen but not everything formats correctly.

Bellissima (no longer available), a little squashed and lacking white space on narrow screen.

Finally, one of the WordPress ecommerce Themes we actually used on a project, Kallyas Theme for Red Robin Books.
